Leon (Li) Xu commenced his journey in Chinese Shaolin Kung Fu in China at the age of 7. As he progressed, he joined the Wu Shu team, participating in various championships and performances. His achievements include numerous championships and gold medals in Wushu and Kung Fu tournaments across China. He secured accolades such as the gold medal in Chen's Tai Chi, triumphs in traditional weapons competitions at the China National Wushu Championship, and victories in provincial championships for Ba Ji quan and Chen's Tai Chi routines.
Currently, Master Leon Xu serves as the president and chief coach at Sino-Wushu Academy, a prominent Chinese Kung Fu school. He also holds the positions of president at the “Quebec Wushu Association” and director at the “Chen's Tai Chi Association - Eastern Canada”. Notably, Leon Xu holds the esteemed 7th Duan in Chinese Wushu and is recognized as a 1st class judge by the China National Wushu organization.
Moreover, he is a 12th Generation Chen's Tai Chi Inheritor, honored as one of the In-Door Disciples of Grand Master Chen Zhenglei. Additionally, he is an 8th Generation Wu's Baji Quan Inheritor and acknowledged as one of the Disciples of Grand Master Wu Lianzhi.

Contribution and Activities in Wushu, Tai Chi fields
• In 2000, as a Chief Editor in City Information Newspaper in Harbin, edited special column “Tai Chi Bible” for almost 2 years, with about 300 thousand words.
• Since 2001, as vice minister of promotion department in Harbin Tai Chi Association, she organized and joined the organization of big championships and promotion. She designed the logo for the Tai Chi Championship in Northeast Three provinces.
• Won many medals in many provincial and national traditional Wushu championships in China.
• In 2003, Joined the preparation and organization of Heilongjiang Wushu Association, and being titled as vice secretary of the association.
• As a Tai Chi and Wushu judge and announcer, She joined many city, provincial and national championships and tournaments.
• As a Tai Chi Coach in the Tai Chi Training classes of Heilongjiang Wushu Association, South Korea Business Association in Harbin etc. in China.
• Teaching The Tai Chi in the Sino-Wushu Academy in Montreal, and give many seminars in Universities, Colleges and high schools etc.
Research Papers and Books
• In 2003, research paper “Explain Chen Style Tai Chi for 7 poses” earned the excellent award in JingWu Cup 2nd National Championship among Wushu Schools.
• In 2003, paper “Characteristics of Main Trend in Modern Wushu Competition” got 3rd award in China Wushu Research Conference, organized by Wushu Sub-Committee of China Sport Science Committee and National Wushu Academy.
• In 2003, paper “The Beauties of Chen Style Tai Chi Quan Exercise” won 1st Award in First East-Asian Wushu Championship.
• 2004, edited and published Tai Chi book, “Tai Chi Bible”, published in Harbin, China.
• In 2004. paper “Opinion of Aesthetic Characteristic of Traditional Wushu” received 2nd Award in the First International Traditional Wushu Festival and Paper Conference.
• In 2006, the paper “Research on promotions of Chinese Wushu Duan Wei System Abroad” was read and got the 2nd research award in the Second International Traditional Wushu Festival, in China. And it is also included in the 3rd Proceeding of Wushu Research, published by People's Sports Press, China.
